Let’s Make South Austin Rec Center a Top Priority in the 2026 Bond!

The City of Austin is gathering public input on future investments — and this is your chance to speak up for the community services that matter most.

GENA is asking for your support to ensure the South Austin Recreation Center (SARC) gets the attention it deserves.

SARC is a vital community hub, offering everything from youth sports and free classes to meeting rooms, playgrounds, and even serving as our polling place. But the facility is aging, flood-prone, and in need of updates to meet the needs of our growing community.

The survey has a comment section at the top, and we hope you’ll consider adding this message:

“Please support rebuilding the South Austin Rec Center. We need updated HVAC, gym, community rooms, classrooms, nursery, safety upgrades, emergency power, EV charging & a District 3 office.”
