It’s My Park Day is this Saturday, November 7th!

When: Saturday, November 7, 2026, 10 a.m.–noon
Where: South Austin Neighborhood Park. Meet at the Stone Crest entrance off Fieldcrest Drive (north side of the park).
Cost: Free

Explore the park’s diverse ecosystems on a guided walk led by a Galindo resident, environmental educator, and longtime park advocate. You’ll learn to identify and remove invasive plants that crowd out native species along West Bouldin Creek, pick up fossil-hunting tips, and see how past volunteer work has helped native species return. We’ll finish with a creek cleanup.

As the park grows more popular, it needs more neighbors to pitch in on its care.

What to bring: The walk is off-trail on hilly, wooded terrain. Bring a water bottle, wear long pants and sturdy shoes, and dress for the weather.
