Austin Planning is hosting four in-person open houses and one virtual meeting in October to gather community input on the update to Imagine Austin, the City’s comprehensive plan.

At these open houses, we’ll share a draft version of the vision statement based on survey responses and feedback from the Imagine Austin Community Working Group and introduce the place type categories that will shape Austin’s first citywide future land use map. This map will guide how our city grows and develops over time. We’d love your input to make sure these categories reflect Austin’s diverse communities and how they can help us achieve the long-term vision and goals outlined in the comprehensive plan update. Come learn more, share your thoughts, and help shape the Imagine Austin Place Types Map!

All open houses will cover the same information and activities. We’re offering multiple locations across the city and a virtual option to make it easier for you to participate.
