GENA Visited by Mayoral Candidates Kathie Tovo, Jeffery Bowen, and Carmen Llanes Pulido

On September 23rd, 2024, several candidates for the 2024 Mayoral race came by the GENA neighborhood meeting to introduce themselves and take questions from the neighborhood.

Galindo residents asked the candidates questions such as how to bring about more transparency to the City of Austin budget, whether light rail plans could displace existing residents, and how they would address the increased pressure on infrastructure (e.g. water, electricity) due to Austin’s explosive growth.
