Our next GENA meeting will be on Monday, May 19th at 7PM at the South Austin Recreation Center, 1100 Cumberland Rd.
We will be joined by special guest Drew Raffaele of the Drenner Group, who will give a presentation on the proposed zoning changes for the ABGB property at 1305 W. Maybe there should be some concern by GENA for the growing number of off leash dogs in an on leash park.
Money could be used for better signage of Dogs on Leash throughout the park. Parks and Recreation could maybe help with this problem for owners who would like to use the park and walkways to walk their dogs on leash. Maybe the playing field could be the place for off leash dogs even though that is illegal as well. I live 50 yds from the park for 25 years and would love to be able to have pleasant walks with my on leash dog without worry.
