Join friends and neighbors volunteering for a fun and family friendly work day in South Austin Neighborhood Park for the Spring 2025 It’s My Park Day on Saturday, March 1st , from 10-12 noon !

It’s My Park Day is a great opportunity to contribute to improvements in the park. We will be completing a cleanup of trash along West Bouldin Creek on the west side of the park and throughout the park itself. Additionally, volunteer leaders will be onsite to share information about upcoming projects including a wildflower meadow and invasive plant removal!

In addition to the satisfaction of sprucing up Galindo’s beloved park, volunteers can also take advantage of freebies and discounts from several local businesses as a thank you for participating. Registering using the Austin Parks Foundation GivePulse link below allows you to reserve your free Spring 2025 IMPD t-shirt and also helps us plan for appropriate amounts of supplies and snacks. Walk-up volunteers are also welcome and can sign up at the event.

We will be providing tools and training prior to the work session activities. Please bring your own water bottle, and work gloves if you have them. Wear long pants and sturdy shoes that cover your feet. There is plenty of free street parking along Cumberland Road and in the Tennis Center and Rec Center parking lots.
